Our handbook explains our Foundation, Mission Statement, Purpose of Christian Education, and Educational Objectives. The handbook also includes details of our policies, expectations, operations and much more. Feel free to give it a read through to gain a better understanding of what Timothy Christian School is all about!
Each year our students participate in a school wide service project. Each year the project is different, offering new challenges and teaching opportunities to our students. View our service projects below, and if you have questions, feel free to send us a message or give us a call via our contact page.
2021: "Brave Bags"
Service Project
Students created Brave Bags, similar to the Carrying Hope bags from last year, as a service project this year. These bags were sent out to area community helpers filled with encouragement and special treats collected and created by our students.
2020: "Carrying Hope"
Service Project
Students collected activities, comfort items, special treats, personal care, and monetary donations for those from our local churches who may need extra cheer and hope during this challenging year of the pandemic. The goal was to teach our students compassion and to share God’s hope with others. Items collected went into Hope Totes that were delivered to those who may not be able to get out and do the things they enjoy.
2019: Do what you CAN to show love to others!
Service Project
Students collected household and personal items for Operation Threshold, House of Compassion, and Food Banks!
2018: Collect CHANGE to be the CHANGE!
Service Project
Our students collected funds for the Ronald McDonald House!
2017: Junior High Service Project Challenge
Service Project
Our student body split into several teams, each with their own goal for a charity of their choice.
2016: TC Chicken Challenge
Service Project
Timothy Christian students gathered donations to purchase chickens through World Renew as a service project during the Thanksgiving to Christmas break time period. The TC Education Committee continously tries to find ways to provide service opportunities for students grades Kindergarten through eigth grade. To spur the students on, a barbecue chicken dinner with all the fixings and additional prizes was going to the classroom with the highest average raised per student. In the end, the students raised $1,674 for World Renew and the Chicken Challenge was a success! Great job TC students!
2015: Hope Ministries Shoe Challenge
Service Project
Timothy Christian School places an importance on service in God’s world. The picture below shows the beginnings of a shoe collection effort to support Hope Ministries in Des Moines. Mrs. Johnson challenged the students to fill the back of her office.
